    It's sad to see businesses that you frequented close. Especially when they provided good food and was efficiently run. I'm sure the work climate in the Financial District as well as the tourism decline played major roles for the demise. Only a block and a half from the Hilton Hotel and on the edge of the Financial District and Chinatown, it was a convenient lunch spot for the area. Their prices were always reasonable and I used to get reward perks by text periodically to remind me to stop in. Thank you, Sushi Taka, for providing many poke bowls and musubis over the years. You will be sorely missed by me and those who used to stand in line or along Sacramento Street waiting for our orders.

    Came back post Covid. This is still my favorite spot for lunch in Fidi. The sushi burrito is always fresh and delicious. They also have an incredible musubi/spam that's always great as well.

    My boyfriend and I stopped here in the afternoon on a weekday because were were staying in a nearby hotel. I got the unagi bowl, and I found the proportions a good size. My boyfriend got the chirashi bowl; he said it tasted fresh and was satisfied. We were really satisfied with how fresh the food tasted and the fast service. There was not a long line before us though, maybe just one person ahead. They have drink options, and we got our food to go because they don't have a place to sit. I highly recommend this place. It is a cute little corner food place, and it is within walking distance of china town. I would go more often; sadly I don't live in town!

    Covid update: Contactless ordering and extended hours into the evening. Sushi Taka was such a go-to lunch spot pre-pandemic and easily my favorite Mealpal offering when we used to go to offices and observed lunchtimes. Loved the variety in the bowls and you get a good serving of seafood for the price. Friendly service. Alas here we are on a quiet Kearny Street and yet the guys persevere. Great poke and chirashi bowls and they were early pioneers of sushi burritos. Think they also have Japanese curry too. There used to be lines during the lunchtime rush so now's a good time to visit for grab-and-go if you order ahead on their website.
